Verify/check

Her is something I would like to point out. Many times, I see phrases like:

To check this, would you please try to temporarily unload our tools (via the “Unload” menu) and try to perform the same actions?

Really – This should be –

To verify this, would you please try to temporarily unload our tools (via the “Unload” menu) and try to perform the same actions?

We are asking a person to test and VERIFY that our assumption is correct.
